Aikuss: Art and Tradition in Knitwear
Aikuss is the fusion of art, contemporary fashion trends, tecnology and the authenticity of alpaca fiber. We connect people and Peruvian artisans through knitwear garments, reflecting the essence of textile tradition. Our pieces are unique creations, knitted and hand-finished by skilled artisans.
We embrace environmental responsibility by crafting limited editions, minimizing raw material waste. Inspired by the colors of the Andes and ancestral textile art, each garment is a tribute to the rich Peruvian culture. Our Story
Aikuss is the creation of the Peruvian designer Ana Fernández, who discovered her artistic calling when she visited her grandparents' village in Huánuco. Proud of her roots and passionate about the art of knitting, she started her own company in Lima, Peru.
She showcased her collections to prominent fashion catalogs in Europe and the United States, making her designs bestsellers and increasing demand for her company. Despite this success, over the years, she grew concerned as she observed that companies promoting fair trade concepts weren't truly practicing them. This led her to make a decisive decision: to create her own brand, "Aikuss," embodying her values of responsible production and sustainability.
Each Aikuss garment tells a story of dedication, environmental respect, and a vision of a world where fashion and ethics converge. With pride, Ana's creations are displayed at Novica, a significant platform that features works of artists from all regions, acting as a tangible reflection of the choice for a sustainable and harmonious lifestyle.
